An MS PTFE-lined pipe is a mild steel (MS) pipe lined internally with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a high-performance fluoropolymer that is well known for its outstanding chemical resistance and non-stick characteristics. The lining shields the steel from corrosive chemicals, and hence the pipe is best suited for carrying aggressive acids, bases, and solvents typically employed in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The Kali PTFE lining provides a smooth, inert inner surface and the MS outer shell provides strong mechanical strength. The result is maximum durability, safety and life expectancy, even under extreme environments where ordinary metal or plastic piping would prematurely fail.
